 What does Greenwich Mean Time mean? Type A responds to this question by creating its own Prime Meridian. Exposing the arbitrary nature of GMT and, by extension, the entire civilized world’s measure of time and space, the question shifts from “what does it mean?” to “who says it means anything?” By marking a new Prime Meridian, Type A both exposes and imitates the subjective meaning of the line. No one should mind that Type A did none of the scientific legwork necessary to establish the line in the first place.
